Fabric, expansion, watercolors, oh my!

Hello Crafters!

If you’ve been to the store in the last week or so, you know something’s been brewing.  That something is here now!

Fabric!  NEW fabric!  Quilting fabric!

I can’t keep cotton fabric in the store lately.  Not enough is getting donated – and no wonder, with everybody making masks, or trying out sewing for the first time while in quarantine.  I can’t blame them!  I decided to add some new items to the store, so Lost & Found is now a New & Secondhand supplies store.  The plan is to only stock those items that are not regularly donated — fabric, roving, punch needle, macrame, adhesives (coming, not ordered yet).   The prices on these will obviously be higher, but they’ll be at least competitive, if not lower, than other bigger stores.

Also, the store expanded out into two rooms, so when you come up the stairs and into the hallway, you’ve got areas to shop on the right and the left!  So much stuff!  Swing in and check it all out.

Another exciting thing is the City of Olympia Arts Month.  If you’ve been to Arts Walk before, you know it’s in the downtown core, a great little walk around locally owned shops, showcasing local artists.   With Covid-19 in our lives, that’s not a possibility anymore to have so many people gathered together in a small area.  The city expanded it to include all of Olympia and Lacey – including Lost & Found Crafts!  We are very proud to have the gorgeous art of Nancy Broach, a wildlife artist from Wild Art Watercolors, with us all month.  She has original watercolor paintings, canvas prints, notecards and jewelry to admire or to purchase.  Her work is a must-see.

As part of Arts Month, I’ve also got craft kits available for purchase (none more than $5).

You can find the complete list of locations showcasing art this month linked on the City’s website:  City of Olympia Arts Month Fall 2020

I’ve heard that news of my little store is spreading — thank you so much for sharing with your friends and family.  Please keep it up!

Hope to see you soon, and in the meantime – happy crafting!
